Adventure Cove + Amara Sanctuary

Last week, I decided to book a villa package with Amara Sanctuary for a 2D1N staycation as I was on leave. Wanted to go overseas at first but everything was too last minute to be confirmed (which made me really frustrated and upset. Boo.) so I settled with a staycation in the end.

We booked the 'Indulgent Package' which included a one way transfer from either the airport (for tourists) or a residential area. We had a Mercedes coming to pick us up from my home. The uncle was super nice, wasn't chatty throughout the ride but spoke to us a little when we reached Amara and gave us very fatherly advice hahaha

As we could only check in at 3pm, I planned to go to Adventure Cove first in the morning, then check in at the villa.
We were made to take touristy photos with touristy poses. Haha YES, we paid for all the photos cos they were quite nice! One for the memories. :)

These were taken in the wave pool. Nothing special just a huge pool with rather large waves. Haha

With the rays! This was along the lazy river where you can just grab a float and... uh, float. Go with the flow, laze in the river. Pretty awesome to see the rays so close!

The harbour leading to/from Adventure Cove.

It was a pretty fun day at Adventure Cove but I feel that it isn't really worth the money. Only because there weren't many thrilling water rides (I love thrilling rides, LOVE.) which I guess makes it suitable for kids? I would think that everyone should go once though, just to check it out.

After that we headed back to Amara to check in! :)

I've read a lot of reviews online of people complaining about the service and maintenance of rooms for Amara, I must be really lucky though cos I experienced none of that! Or maybe because both the bf and I aren't fussy to begin with.

We checked into the Larkhill Terrace (after a short buggy ride from the reception area) which looked great in the photos while I was doing my "research" for the getaway. And it did look pretty awesome as well in reality!

Upon entering, we were greeted with a hugeass bed which baby wanted to bring home because it was so comfy. Hahaha

And then upon opening the next door, it was the toilet and shower room, and this open-concept bathtub and a daybed.

And past the backdoor was........................

A PRIVATE INFINITY POOL FOR LARKHILL TERRACE GUESTS ONLY!

Pretty awesome. Scratch that, really really awesome. There is a jacuzzi just by the side of the pool as well which I didn't have a photo of because there were people in them when we arrived. Haha

What was also included in the package was a S$100 dining voucher which we could redeem at either Shutters restaurant or Tier Bar. At night we got ready and head out to Shutters for dinner!

We were served with warm bread and butter after our order was taken.

Seafood chowder! This is super yumz, it had big chunks of prawns and scallops and even a whole mussel hidden in the creamy chowder. Super worth it!

Rib-eye steak served with truffle fries and black peppercorn sauce. Super delish!

The bf's and my favourite mocktail - Shirley Temple. :)

After that we headed back to our villa and fell asleep watching Geordie Shore on MTV (super lame show lor). The next day we overslept, woke up at 10 and rushed to Shutters for breakfast when it ends at 1030. So I didn't manage to take any pics in my sleepy and hungry state. Haha breakfast variety was good though, a lot to choose from. We had to check out at 12 noon, and then it was home-bound!

A pretty awesome getaway right in our sunny little island. :) The package was worth it although it was rather expensive. I would very much love to spend the money on a holiday to Bintan or Krabi but oh well, this was a good alternative as well if you don't wanna go overseas. I'm glad that Amara Sanctuary didn't turn out to be as bad as the reviews were! Haha

Ending this post with a selfie. HEHE
