Paradise island

BALI!

On board the flight to Bali on Tuesday.. I was all hyped up and excited but my poor baby was miserable. He hates flying because it makes his teeth ache and ears block. So he was frowning while sleeping throughout the 2.5 hours flight there.. :( While I kept myself entertained with Jodi Picoult's Perfect Match.

We touched down on the very sunny Bali 2.5 hours later and was greeted by our driver from Amana Villas! And drove us to the AWESOME VILLA. I can't emphasise how awesome it is... It's a two-storey Waterfall villa!

The team at Amana Villa was so awesome! We were first served our welcome drinks as well as a super yummy carrot cake when we reached our villa.. And they even scattered rose petals on the bed on one night, and left another stalk of rose another night! Super sweet of them :)

So.. After we rested for a while in our villa, our ride came to pick us up to a seafood restaurant by the beach!

Kitty came to join us for dinner! Super cute la this kitten.. :)

It was a great dinner though I was busy feeding kitty and afterwards a stray puppy who came by our table.. And baby was busy feeding...... me. Hehe

After which we headed back to our villa and spend almost $40 on things like cup noodles, drinks, etc at a nearby supermarket. And then baby told me to stay on our bedroom which is on the first storey while he went to the second storey.

He brought me up with my eyes closed and showed me this.. I know it looks all black but this was actually on the edge of our infinity pool. :) The silly boy jumped in and out of the water to make this.. Hehe :) 

And then the clock struck 12midnight and it was officially our first year! Feel so blessed to be able to spend it so awesomely. :)

The next day we woke up to breakfast served at our villa.. Awesome service or what! The breakfast is super yummy btw. 

And then we decided to head out for lunch plus walk to the beach.. But when we were out the heat proved to be too much to handle! It really is damn hot in Bali.. so we didn't make it to the beach in the end. :( Which I still regret. But oh well we had a great lunch at Coco's, a cafe near the supermarket.

I realise I'm always too hungry and it takes a lot of determination to snap photos of my food before I eat... :( So I'm left with no pictures of my food.

We wanted to head to the much-raved Kudeta for dinner but it was fully booked and we couldn't get a reservation. :( So we got ready and went to Potato Head instead!

Had to wait for a table so baby and I headed to the beach right in front of the restaurant and watched the waves.. Really awesome feeling. The waves were so high! Such a pretty sight. I know you can't really tell by the photos but it really is super high! Almost 2m maybe?

And then we got our table.. The food was great and the ambiance romantic hehe :) But it was pretty dark except for the candle on our table so I couldn't exactly see what I was eating but it was good!

After Potato Head we wanted to go to a club! Sadly, because it was a weekday, there weren't any clubs in Seminyak area and baby and I felt that it would be dangerous for us to go to Kuta alone.. So we decided to head back to our Villa!

Where we cooked supper. Hehe instant noodles and bacon! No pics again though. :(

The next morning we woke up to awesome breakfast again! :) Really felt like a king and queen! Haha

We had to pack our things as the check-out time was 12pm and we had our massage booked at 11am. The massage was heavenly! It's the first time I fell asleep while having a massage haha really super relaxing!

After which we headed to Red Carpet which is a restaurant/bar just in front of our villa for lunch.. I was feeling rather depressed because I didn't want to go home. :( I really loved Bali, it's such an awesome place!

Again, no pics of the food. I really should stop being so greedy hahaha and I realised how hardworking those bloggers are! *Salute*

So yes, after that we headed back to the airport and back to Singapore..... :(

It was a great trip, really felt like it was a honeymoon for the two of us.. Anyway baby, if you are reading this, Happy 1st year (+5 days) again! :) Never thought of making it this far when we first started but we did.. And I look forward to many many many more years and honeymoons ahead with you! <3

I'd definitely love to head back to Bali and stay at Amana Villas again! Great service, worth every penny spent. :)
